Staurogyne Repens Variegated is a rare twist on the classic foreground favorite. It keeps the same compact, bushy shape as standard S. Repens, but its leaves are splashed with creamy white or pale yellow streaks that really pop against darker greens. This low-growing aquatic plant originates from South America and features small, spade-shaped leaves perfect for filling in the foreground or midground of an aquascape

Like most variegated plants, it thrives under stable lighting, CO2, and nutrient levels to keep its lighter patches vibrant rather than faded. Vertical, thin growth indicates insufficient light, yellowing leaves suggest a nutrient deficiency, and thinning leaves point to low CO2. When grown under optimal conditions, this plant can grow quickly and will need regular trimming. These trimmings can be replanted to propagate new plants.
